I am a teacher by profession, an artist, writer and creative educator with multidisciplinary interests in dance, literature, visual arts, photography, design and digital media. Currently serving as a Dance Teacher in the Education Department, Government of Bihar, I teach Classes 9–10 and strive to make education creative, expressive, experiential and culturally rooted.

My academic journey is rooted in the University of Delhi, where I completed my B.A. (Hons.) in Hindi from Lady Shri Ram College for Women and M.A. in Hindi from Hindu College. I have qualified UGC NET in Hindi and have also pursued an M.A. in English and a Post Graduate Diploma in Translation, enriching my engagement with language & literature. I was awarded the Shri Manohar Shyam Joshi Scholarship and All India Post Graduate Scholarship for academic merit.

My expertise spans Kathak, Vocal music, Fine arts, Graphic and Book-cover designing, Canva, Photography, Creative Writing, Editing, Proofreading and Translation.  My core strengths include time management, leadership, communication, teamwork, multitasking, creative thinking, problem-solving, adaptability, quick learning, planning, organisation and innovation.

I have been actively associated with SCERT Bihar as a contributor to the development, design and creative presentation of educational and training modules, including Bagless Safe Saturday, VSS Training, School Safety and Security, and Music and Musical Instruments. I have also participated in CCRT Hyderabad training, strengthening my understanding of Indian cultural heritage and arts education. My association with Teachers of Bihar includes editorial and creative contributions to Gadya Gunjan and other educational resources.

Literature remains an important part of my creative journey. My articles, poems and literary works have appeared in national and international books, magazines and literary publications. I have also published the children's book Jaadu Ki Chhadi. My creative practice extends to designing book covers, educational books, magazines, modules, posters, certificates and digital learning resources, combining aesthetics with purposeful communication. My professional experience includes working with the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, Content Whale, My Study Buddy, Scholastic Pvt. Ltd. and Lokoday Prakashan in media, content writing, translation, editing and proofreading roles. I have also developed student-led initiatives such as School Times Channel and School Times Magazine, encouraging students to explore reporting, photography, design, editing, interviewing and storytelling.

My work has received recognition through several honours, including the Bihar Shiksha Ratna Award, Teacher of the Month Award, Bharat-Nepal Hindi Sewa Samman, Vivekanand Shiksha Samman, Shiksha Ratna, Dr. Maharaj Krishna Jain Smriti Samman, Shatabdi Samman, Bihar Vikas Ratna, among others. As a performing artist, I have participated in cultural programmes at Shravani Mela, Saras Mela, Sonpur Mela, Doordarshan and All India Radio. I am an NCC ‘C’ Certificate holder with an ‘A’ Grade and a Rajya Puraskar recipient in Bharat Scouts and Guides.

I see education as a dialogue, art as my language, and literature as my way of understanding life. I believe in learning with curiosity, creating with purpose and helping every learner discover their own voice. I aspire to leave behind not just knowledge, but a little inspiration, confidence and a story worth carrying forward.
